—Neville Chamberlain, WW2 (Part 1)

Neville Chamberlain was the British Prime Minister for the start of WW2 and the sixtieth prime minister overall.

Biography

Chamberlain‘s first role in WW2 was trying to make Hitler not take that much land with a strategy called „Appeasement “. After Hitler‘s invasion of the Sudetenland, Chamberlain started negotiating with Hitler at the Munich Conference where he told him that Hitler shall not invade the rest of Czechoslovakia. So Hitler signed the treaty but still invaded Czechoslovakia. This caused a lot of tension and when Hitler invaded Poland it culminated in WW2. After an embarrassing defeat during Germany‘s invasion of Norway, Chamberlain resigned and Winston Churchill became Prime Minister
