Denmark, officially the Kingdom of Denmark, is a sovereign state in Northern Europe. It borders Germany to the south. With an area of about 43,094 square kilometers (16,639 square miles), it is the hundredth and thirtieth biggest country in the world. With a population of 5,771,876 people, it is the hundredth and twenty-fourth most populous country in the world. The kingdom has three constituent countries, Denmark (constituent country), Faroe Islands and Greenland. Their current monarch is Margrethe II and their current prime minister is Mette Frederiksen.
