Türkiye, officially the Republic of Türkiye, is a country in the Middle East and Europe. It was created after the Ottoman Empire lost WW1 and lost all its land except Türkiye to the Allies. It is one of few countries on earth to be on two continents. Istanbul (formerly Constantinople), its largest city, is also on two continents (Europe and Asia), and it's second largest city, Ankara, is the capital.
